In Wardogs, an organised squad carries more weight than five good players each doing their own thing. The map is big, three factions fight over the zones, and the teams that talk are the ones that score. Here’s how the G4melab community organises itself, and how your team can settle in on the server.
Split the roles
Before the match, take a minute to decide who does what. One player opens, one covers, one supports, one keeps an eye on the zone. Roles change as the match goes on, but starting with a plan stops everyone doing the same thing in the same place.
Short callouts
On voice, the rule is simple: position, number, action. Everything else waits until the fight is over. Pick one player to make the calls when things heat up: even if they’re sometimes wrong, a quick decision beats five conflicting opinions.
Hold a sector
When several teams play on the G4 server, each one can hold a sector. That’s when Wardogs gets really interesting: the whole map is in play, fronts open everywhere, and each squad has its role in the match. We coordinate on Discord before the organised sessions.
Review your plays
The best teams debrief. With G4 Studio, kills on the G4 server are clipped automatically: just watch them back together to understand what worked and what didn’t. Player profiles, visible on the G4 players page, show everyone’s roles.
Priority for opening the server
The server only starts with 20 players, and once it’s full it’s hard to get in. G4melab offers 3 days of priority to players who help open it:
- 20 players to open. Below that, the match doesn’t start. Every player who connects counts.
- 3 days of priority, free. They restart with every opening you take part in.
- Discord and Steam. You need to link your account so the server recognises you.
- Nothing to pay. It isn’t a subscription and it doesn’t go through the shop.
The details, and the buttons to link Steam and Discord, are on the Wardogs page.
One team, one identity
Your team keeps its tag and its way of playing. Squads that play regularly on the server appear on the Wardogs page. New to the game? Start with our beginner’s guide.
